..** Dialog

This story takes place ten years ago; a middle aged guy is working in a business company in the World Trade Center. However, the guy is always complaining about his job and life. He keeps complaining, and then one day when he finishes his work, he meets some mythological princess. The princess has the power to change life. She can realize whatever you want and ask for.
G= Who are you?
P= I’m a princess from Disney; I can realize your desires. What do you want?
G = What do I want? I want many things. My work is so hard, so many stresses and especially, I’m not happy. I don’t have time to enjoy my life.
N = The princess becomes angry with the greedy guy.
P = Stop! I will realize just one desire.  Again, what do you want?
G = I want, I want…. No …. I need a girl. Yes, I need someone who makes my life better.
P = Ok! What type of girl do you wish for?
G= I want a girl with white skin; a coke bottle body; big lips; nice legs and especially she needs be a rich girl.
N= The princess looks at the unsatisfied guy and says.
P= Hey!!!… Stop crazy guy. You need to ask me for a real girl. This type of girl that you want doesn’t exist here. You can choose only one of two types of girl—rich or pretty.
N= the guy becomes worried about his choice. If he chooses the rich one he will not worry about his salary; but, if he chooses the pretty one he will be happy and proud of his wife.
G= Ok! I choose the rich girl. Because I want to stop my boring work and get her money.
P= Are you sure? That is what you need?
G= Yes, it is.
N= After his answer the princess disappears. On the next day when he wakes up he sees himself in a big room besides an older woman. She is 65 years old, fat and wrinkled; but she is the owner of the World Trade Center.
N= At the first moment the guy starts buying all his wishes: as a luxurious car, clothes and everything that is very expensive. Unfortunately, it is September 2001, so the guy doesn’t have enough time to enjoy his rich life.
N= Today he is a working guy; he has three part time jobs, two in the day time and one at night, and a poor old lady wife to support.

The Lady or The Tiger?

“Which came out of the opened door, the lady or the tiger?”

Probably was the lady who came out if  the princess didn’t want her lover dead. Otherwise she preferred see her lover with another woman, but alive. Also, she was sure that with time she could have her lover back.

On the other hand, perhaps it was the tiger who came out would be because the princess would never accept her lover marrying another woman. Because she was semi-barbaric, she didn’t think with reason; but with her feelings, and she was a very jealous woman. Finally, she was sure that her lover would prefer to die than live without her.
For me, it doesn’t matter which door she chose; the lady or the tiger. Whatever she had chosen could be a romantic end for the story: a guy that died for his love; or a woman who gives her lover a chance to be alive even with another woman.

However, what is really important, for me, in this story is the point that the princess and her lover knew each other's hearts, and they believed in each other.
The guy knew what would be her choice and accepted it, as last proof of his love for her.

...# The Father and His Daughter #...

I didn’t like the away how the author began his story. Already in the first paragraph he wrote that the father’s action is going to be a mistake. When I read, in the first moment I felled resentful, because the author judged the father’s action as a bad thing. The father tried do something good, teach her daughter share and not be greedy the away he thought was better. No one have the
same effective tools to teach rules of own children. Also, I think that any author should Force ideas in their stories.

Bullying

Bullying is a form of psychological intimidation and humiliation of people who are generally more passive and don’t have power over someone or some group.
I believe that bullying can be a verbal attack, such as nasty nicknames and critical expressions, or it can be a really physical aggression, wich is more shocking.
Children become violent for several reasons; however, the principal factor is family life. Parents who are absent or stressed because of work, frequently use screams, slaps and punches to show their authority.
As a result, they give this type of behavior to their children.
The consequences of bullying can be phobias, depression, anxiety, stress, loss of self-esteem and relationship problems.
The most important thing that we should teach is the way to not let anybody hurt our feelings. Something always will happen in our lives.
We meet every day with someone faster, smarter or stronger than we, and it is up to us do something to answer and change this situation to make it better.
The most effective tools to teach rules of healthy living to children are affection and dialogue; educational activities such as sports, art classes and solidarity actions.

.!!..The Logic of Compassion.!!..

Compassion is a feeling related to human care; it is a moral feeling of great importance in human relationships. That is the reason it is very common to hear some discussions about human compassion. For exemplo: " We need to think more about the world's problems, our lack of care is the symptoms of the major humanity problems." However, the logic of compassion is not easy to understand.
The feelings of loyalty, respect, and other emotions have been generated in the course of human evolution, when society  joined to live together. It was the way to survive. The brain has learned throughout evolution to avoid conflicts of group living. These developments of the brain can help us understand the moral behavior of man.
We don't feel compassion for others when there is no correspondence to our lives. The act of compassion really to make ourselves feel better, it frees us from a feeling of pain that is our own. The problems suffered by others make us feel powerless if we don’t run to rescue the victim. Besides, we have the fear that it may also happen to us.
Compassion involves philosophical feelings of learning to care. The feelings of wanting to take care arise when we know  why it is happening. Compassion exist because we see ourselves in the situation, i.e., we identify with the other. If this identification isn't real, compassion will not exist.

..^-^.. Hodja

Hodja is a turkish man that was born in 1208 in the village of Horto near Sivrihisar, Turkey.

His legendary wit and droll trickery were possibly based on the exploits and words of an historical imam.

Some of the stories have a moral, some do not. Some have to be read twice. Some are hilarious.

All will serve to remind us of ourselves.

Statue of the Hodja - Akshehir, Turkey

Here is one story of Hodja .... try to read it and see what you can learn from it...
JUST TRY.... DO NOT BE AFRAID....

One day Hodja was repairing tiles on the roof of his house. While Hodja was working on the roof, a stranger knocked at the door.
- "What do you want?" Hodja shouted down.
- "Come down!" replied the stranger, "So I can tell you."
Hodja unwillinging and slowly climbed down the ladder.
- Well! replied Hodja, what was the important thing?
- Could you give a little money to this poor old man? begged the stranger.
Tired Hodja started to climb up the ladder and said,
- Follow me up to the roof.
When both Hodja and the beggar were on the roof, Hodja said,
- "The answer is no!"

The Getway

One day a young guy that was traveling from western Mexico came in to my gas station just to take a cup of coffee. He was drinking his cup of coffee but couldn’t believe it. He was very surprised that my gas station was very clean and seemed to have never been used, and the coffee was tasty. Of course; I work too hard. It was something so different than his expectation. He was expecting some dirty place with coffee tasting like steel. One more thing; there was me, a gentle man that helped the young guy very fast. The guy was very surprised because no other costumers were there, and he started to ask me why. Suddenly, two men who were wearing expensive clothes came inside the gas station . They started asking me for some directions; they needed help to go to El Paso. I showed them a better road with a map to make it easy. The men took the map for themselves and started walking out.
The young guy didn’t pay attention when the men talked with each other. He just saw when unexpectedly they turned around pulled guns in his direction and started shooting.  He just had time to go down on the floor. So afraid of shots, he didn’t have the courage to look at who they were shooting.
The men were shot and when they fell on the ground the silence returned. At this time the guy got up, but he couldn’t believe in what he saw. He saw a woman with a gun; she was the most wonderful woman he had ever seen in his life! Of course, she was a Latin woman.
The guy fell in love with her and didn’t ask why she killed them. He just asked her if she would accept a cup of coffee. Very naively, he only received a cold answer from the women “Get out of my way”. And walked past him with her high heels clicking on the floor.
